Cincinnati Zoo Insect Exhibit Uses Mom's Veggiewash

Apples, pears and grapes fed to the insects in the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden insect exhibit may have been what was making them sick. It is no wonder that insects can be affected by the pesticide residues left on fruits and vegetables from the produce section.

These chemicals are designed to be environmentally persistent and do not wash off easily. So when zoo keepers noticed that some insects in the exhibit were not thriving , they called Mom for some advice.

Because pesticide residues on fruits fed to insects in the Insectarium could potentially harm them, the Zoo now uses Mom's Veggiewash to protect the little creatures. All fruits fed to the beetles and spiders are first washed with Mom's Veggiewash.

Surfaces and countertops can be cleaned with Mom's Veggiewash to further safeguard sensitive environments.
